Restaurateur Ted Fleetwood Nugent commissioned us to create a series of illustrations of his Bay Ridge, Brooklyn restaurant, Cebu Bar & Bistro. We produced simple, elegant line drawings in three variations: the full restaurant with tree, the full restaurant without tree, and the entrance alone. Later, we were asked to develop colorized versions representing the four seasons. For each season, we adjusted the color palette, transformed the tree’s foliage, and added charming seasonal details like snow, flowers, birds, fallen leaves, and pumpkins. This project was a joyful trip down memory lane, reminding us of our Brooklyn days and many delicious meals enjoyed at Cebu.
